I created a book cover for the classic story, The Old Man and the Sea. I wanted to stay true to the timelessness of the story, but also create a cover that would appeal to a younger generation of readers. Personal project.

Print Magazine ›

This cover was a submission to PRINT MAGAZINE’S student cover competition. The challenge was to create a cover that conveyed this particular issue’s topic of “natural resources”.

My concept was to depict the pencil as the earth’s resources that are being depleted, and the pencil shavings to depict the consumed/wasted resources.

SoupLove ›

SOUPLOVE was an illustration project for a client that wanted to create a sincere soup recipe book that could make the craft of soup making accessible and enjoyable to chefs of all abilities. The illustrations were made to reflect the philosophies of the book: simple and accessible.

Music Under New York ›

This is a poster design for the Music Under New York program that coordinates the live performances of the New York underground subway systems.

I wanted the poster to very quickly convey its message, since passers-by would be in a hurry to catch the next train, and also convey the rawness of the New York subways as well as the rawness of the talent. Personal project.
